Before purchasing, make sure that you take into consideration the size of the mount and the depth. If you are using an existing exhaust fan that is already installed, you will need to move it regardless to accommodate for the Exhaust Mount. Please also make sure that the exhaust fan that you are currently using fits within the size range. 

Sometimes the electrical and duct connections are in the way of installing the Exhaust Fan. 

To install this way you'll have to remove the electrical connection and duct connection. Just remove one screw (shown on the left side) then slide that panel out.

You should insert that panel through the Mount, then with that piece in, you can slide the rest of the fan housing up, reconnecting the panel to the housing.
