How much weight can your vents hold?Updated 9 months ago

All our vents have gone through rigorous testing in order to make sure they follow builder standards and codes that are applicable to floor vents. The minimum weight and pressure that floor vents must be able to withstand is 200 pounds. Our vents all exceed this margin. 

Our Lite Collections (models made with ABS Plastic) actually hold up better over time to the dynamic pressure of foot traffic than their steel counterparts due to the manufacturing process of injection molding, which creates multiple dense support brackets, making it well suited for higher traffic areas in homes. The Lite vents have been tested to hold over 300 pounds of static pressure. This is not to say that our Luxe products aren't also strong and durable - we've just found that if your vent is going to be installed in an area with constant foot traffic, the Lite version may be a better option.
